Do you feel overwhelmed by reading and writing assignments- especially that Shakespeare play? Is it hard to start a new project or make sense of a book?
I tutor ESL students, younger struggling readers and advanced placement students in London (Masonville Library, Bostwick Library) . Together, my students and I work to develop the reading, writing and organizational skills that they need to succeed. We break down assignments and projects into manageable, concrete tasks that they can understand and complete. Students who just want to sharpen their reading and writing skills can work on creative research projects that engage their interests.
I have helped students read and complete assignments on many of Shakespeare's plays, including: Midsummer Night's Dream, Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet and Hamlet.
My students have also researched ancient Roman weapons, the sinking of the Titanic, the Korean War and Mayan Temples. I have experience as an Adjunct Professor in the English Dept and Writing and Honors Programs at University of Utah and as a Library Administrator in a primary school where I worked with many young readers.
